"My students loved working with you and will always remember these past two weeks as one of the most 'brilliant' experiences of their high school years." (Teacher from a High School in USA)
Diana Scrivener offers expert knowledge which spans some 600 years. With the implementation of the National Curriculum Key Stages, there has been more focus on the dance from specific areas in history, particularly Mediaeval, Tudors and Victorian.
Typical Collaborations
Your class might be studying other aspects of one of these periods. Diana would provide a workshop where the dances and music, together with the clothes of the period, would be discussed. The marriage between all elements of society would be illustrated, offering many opportunities for cross-curricular activity ; perhaps some instrumentalists from the class would be able to play for the dancers and a little 'courtly' scene would be established.
